About the role

The purpose or the Aviation Key Accounts Manager is to retain existing major accounts and to build customer relationships to become a strategic partner to source new opportunities with those major accounts. The role will also be responsible for increased sales profitability, volume growth and multiple product sales to assigned market segments. In this dynamic position, you will:

* Build and deepen relationships with key stakeholders across major accounts, ensuring strong alignment with customer needs.
* Drive growth by proactively identifying customer requirements and presenting tailored solutions that add value and strengthen partnerships.
* Lead contract formation and tender preparation, collaborating with internal teams to deliver compelling proposals and renewal strategies.
* Facilitate clear and timely communication between IOR and clients, ensuring contractual obligations are met and reporting is streamlined.
* Support diverse projects and stay ahead of market trends by mastering IOR’s offerings and monitoring competitor capabilities

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need the following attributes:

* Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or Marketing, with proven commercial acumen in fuel sales and distribution.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, paired with high-level computer literacy and tender preparation experience.
* Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities, with the ability to design strategic solutions and influence key outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to build and strengthen relationships across all levels of customer organisations, driving engagement and trust.
* Experience in Key Account Management within high-value, complex environments, with a strong track record in business development and commercial negotiation.
