**About the role**
We are expanding our partnerships team and have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring and motivated Partnerships Manager - New Business to join the team.
You will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new business opportunities, creating unique and commercially minded propositions for prospective partners. You will have a passion for problem solving be a creative thinker and have a can-do attitude. You will bring a strategic mindset with big picture thinking abilities coupled with excellent communication skills, strong organisational skills and the ability to engage and inspire a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
**Responsibilities include;**
- Support and deliver the new business corporate strategy and pipeline
- Identify, qualify, and lead approaches/negotiations with identified businesses for partnership
- Ability to develop proposals, deliver pitches and oversee partnership agreements
- Undertake systematic industry research to identify alignment opportunities, prepare research briefs, establish new meeting opportunities
- Work closely with Group Head of Partners, New Business Partnership Manager and wider business partnerships team to set the annual budget for corporate partnerships and associated fundraising activity and develop and implement enabling strategies
- Manage the prospect pipeline, ensuring that market potential is maximised and that relationships are continually progressed through the pipeline to deliver significant income growth and high yield/return on investment (ROI).
- Work closely with the Campaign & Events team to identify sponsorship both financial and in-kind opportunities
**Experience And Skills**
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create complex pitches and present at an executive level
- Confidence in providing an outstanding experience to our partners, ensuring ongoing & meaningful relationships with the ability to recognise opportunities or problems when dealing with clients
- Experience in B2B marketing/sales and strategy development
- Experience in managing strategies and executing plans across both new business and retention activities
- Have a track record of success in securing revenue from high-level, mutually beneficial partnerships within the corporate sector
- Work with partners to enable communication and campaigns which support mission delivery, joint partnership opportunities, increased partner accessibility, awareness and presence
- A background in corporate partnership development and relationship account management from within the not-for-profit space or a commercial setting is desirable
- Strong commercial acumen
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the private sector in Australia
