What You\'ll Be Doing
- Client Management & Tax Advisory
Client Management & Tax Advisory
- Manage a diverse portfolio including ASX-listed companies, SMEs, trusts, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Oversee the preparation and review of income tax returns, BAS/IAS, FBT, and tax effect accounting.
- Deliver tailored tax planning and advisory strategies, including restructures, consolidations, international tax, and succession planning.
- Provide strategic advice on tax risk management, compliance issues, and legislation changes.
- Liaise with the ATO and regulatory bodies, managing audits, rulings, and queries.
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise, mentor, and support accountants at all levels, fostering technical growth and career progression.
- Review and enhance workflows, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in service delivery.
- Collaborate with Partners and Directors to strengthen tax service offerings and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and knowledge sharing.
Is This You?
You are a detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in technical environments. You\'re passionate about tax and take pride in guiding clients through complex issues. You enjoy developing people, building strong client relationships, and being a trusted specialist.
- CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Law.
- 7+ years\' experience in taxation within a reputable firm, with proven leadership or mentoring experience.
- Strong technical expertise across income tax, FBT, CGT, Division 7A, and tax effect accounting.
- Experience managing complex tax issues for both corporate and private clients.
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical tax matters into clear advice.
- Proficiency in tax and accounting software (APS, Xero, MYOB, etc.).
