The Organisation
Murray PHN acknowledges its catchment crosses over many unceded First Nations Countries, following the Dhelkunya Yaluk (Healing River). We pay our respects and give thanks to the Ancestors, Elders and Young people for their nurturing, protection and caregiving of these sacred lands and waterways, acknowledging their continuing cultural, spiritual and educational practices.
At Murray PHN, five organisational values - Leadership, Collaboration, Respect, Accountability, and Innovation - drive the way we do business, the way we influence the health system and the way we interact with each other and our stakeholders.
As a not-for-profit organisation, and one of six Primary Health Networks (PHNs) in Victoria and 29 across Australia, we work with rural and regional services and national agencies to not only support health reform, but to develop locally relevant models of care, workforce solutions and to pilot innovative programs.
Whether it's supporting individuals with chronic conditions, enhancing mental health services, or reducing avoidable hospital stays, our focus is commissioning primary healthcare services that are accessible, high-quality, culturally responsive, sustainable, and importantly meet population needs and prevent disease.
Inclusion Statement
Murray PHN is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and developing a workplace culture that is protected and accessible, respectful, fosters inclusiveness, promotes diversity and embraces the unique skills and qualities of all our employees.
We are committed to creating genuine employment opportunities for everyone and welcome applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, LGBTIQA+, neurodiverse people and people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
At Murray PHN, we aspire to be an anti‑racist organisation, embedding cultural humility as a daily practice, to improve health outcomes and health equity in our communities. We recognise cultural humility as a life‑long commitment to self‑reflection, personal growth and redressing power imbalances in our society.
