Security Clearance: Must hold Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1)
Working Arrangements: Onsite – 5 days per week in Canberra office (remote or interstate candidates will not be considered)
A Commonwealth department is seeking multiple Senior Test Analysts (APS6 equivalent) to support quality assurance and testing activities across several ICT delivery teams.
These roles will support enterprise ICT programs including cloud-based platforms, Salesforce solutions, enterprise applications, and bespoke systems. The successful candidates will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing testing activities to ensure systems meet business requirements, quality standards and operational expectations.
The positions will work closely with project delivery teams, QA leads, developers and business stakeholders to establish appropriate testing methods, tools and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and execute testing activities across all stages of system and service development
* Develop test strategies, test plans, test cases and execution schedules
* Provide guidance on testing methods, frameworks and toolsets
* Perform functional, system, integration and user acceptance testing
* Execute testing for web applications, APIs and enterprise platforms
* Manage defects and testing workflows using tools such as Azure DevOps
* Monitor adherence to testing standards, policies and QA governance frameworks
* Assess testing risks and recommend mitigation strategies
* Contribute to organisational QA standards, frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives
* Engage with stakeholders to ensure test coverage aligns with business requirements
* Support delivery teams working on cloud, SaaS and bespoke application platforms
Key Qualifications
* ISTQB Foundation Certification (or higher)
* Minimum 8 years experience in software testing or quality assurance roles
* Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and bespoke applications
* Experience using testing platforms such as Azure DevOps for test planning, execution and defect management
* Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain test artefacts, documentation and QA processes
* Experience testing REST APIs, SOAP web services and web-based applications
* Current NV1 security clearance
* Experience working with Salesforce or other low-code / no-code platforms (e.g. Power Apps, SmartIQ)
* Experience testing cloud-hosted applications and CI/CD delivery pipelines
* Experience with MOE environments and infrastructure or hardware testing
* Familiarity with enterprise government ICT delivery environments
Working Arrangements
* Candidates must be able to attend the office five days per week
* Existing NV1 clearance is mandatory (new clearances will not be sponsored)
