Brunel has partnered with a well-established commercial construction company delivering construction and reactive works across a diverse range of facilities and projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Junior Estimator to join their Brisbane-based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate or a junior estimator with 1-2 years' experience who is looking to build a long-term career within a supportive, office-based environment.
Description
Reporting to the Senior Estimator, the Junior Estimator will support the delivery of accurate and competitive tenders across a variety of commercial projects.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting the Senior Estimator with scopes of works and tender submissions
* Requesting, reviewing and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotes
* Completing basic take-offs and cost planning support
* Assisting with tender documentation and project handovers
* Maintaining accurate estimating records and documentation
Profile
* Have recently completed a relevant degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Estimating, or
* Have 1-2 years' experience in a junior estimating or construction-related role
You will ideally bring:
* Strong attention to detail and numerical capability
* A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* A genuine interest in pursuing a career in estimating
