Our defence client is looking for a Procurement Specialist for a fixed-term opportunity.
Your new company
Our defence client, who are based in Melbourne, is currently looking for a procurement specialist to assist and manage the end-to-end procurement process and contracting activities across a range of associated suppliers and subcontracts. They are looking for someone to come in on a 6-12-month fixed-term contract.
Your new role
Procurement Specialist
* Drive the RFQ/RFI/RFT process.
* Develop, lead and execute procurement plans and sourcing strategies based on research and analysis to optimise value for money outcomes.
* End-to-end contract negotiations with both current and potential suppliers.
* Ensure commercial risk is effectively managed
* Ensure procurement strategies are in accordance with the category management model.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will come with proven commercial acumen with a strong understanding and experience of category management and will have worked in a highly complex regulated environment.
ASDEFCON knowledge is desirable but not mandatory. You will already need to have Baseline or NV1 clearance.
