Matthews Architects is seeking a senior professional to join our established and close-knit studio in a full-time on premise capacity. This role suits an experienced Senior Architect or Senior Architectural Technician with a strong technical mindset, deep construction knowledge, and the confidence to lead projects through documentation and delivery.
With a diverse project portfolio spanning almost all sectors, this position offers the opportunity to work across varied and engaging projects while contributing to a collaborative studio culture built on trust, continuity and design excellence.
About the role
* Lead technical design and detailed documentation across multiple projects.
* Apply high-level construction knowledge to resolve complex design and delivery challenges.
* Work confidently in Revit within a collaborative BIM environment.
* Provide guidance, mentoring and technical leadership to junior team members.
* Contribute to quality outcomes across all project stages.
About you
* Minimum 10 years post-graduate experience .
* Architectural qualification preferred (Architect or highly experienced Architectural Technician).
* Advanced competency in Revit .
* Strong knowledge and practical understanding of the NCC .
* Proven experience in technical design and construction documentation.
* Experience preparing project specifications.
* A collaborative approach with a genuine interest in mentoring and developing others.
