Leisure & Activities Officer
We are looking for an enthusiastic Leisure & Activities Officer to join our friendly and close‐knit team at Calvary Albury & District in NSW.
About the Role
The Leisure & Activities Officer is part of an integrated team working within an established framework to support residents in living their best life.
Main duties will include:
* Respect every resident's individual character, personality and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy, and productive lifestyle.
* Develop formal and informal activity programs designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents.
* Provide social and recreational programs that meet the needs of the residents.
Schedule
Week 1
Monday/Tuesday 11:00-18:00
Friday/Saturday 10:00-17:00
Week 2
Monday/Tuesday 11:00-18:00
Thursday/Friday/Saturday 10:00-17:00
About You
* Certificate III in Individual Support
* Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate IV in progress or willing to obtain
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
* Experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities
* Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements
* Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive abilities and to obtain their trust and cooperation
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission‐based organisation
