Parkinson's Disease - Support Group Facilitator

In this rewarding role, you will help facilitate a monthly support group meeting for people living with Parkinson's and their carers. Groups are held once a month on a Wednesday morning. You will help create a welcoming environment where participants can connect, share experiences, and provide peer support. Your role will involve coordinating guest speakers and activities, encouraging group discussions, and assisting with the set up and pack down of the session.

* Facilitate the monthly support group meetings, ensuring a supportive and welcoming atmosphere.
* Coordinate guest speakers and activities that engage participants and encourage discussion.
* Assist with the set up and pack down of the venue.
* Liaise with Parkinson's WA to ensure smooth operation of the group.
* Collaborate with an existing committee who will provide support and guidance.

Commitment: Regular – more than 6 months

Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support

Time Required: Attendance on the first Wednesday of every month (10am–12pm). A commitment of 10 hours a month is required.

Training: Induction and orientation. Support Group Leaders Development Day is held annually.
