Our client is seeking a Master Scheduler to bring order to a complex, multi-stream IT landscape. This isn't a role for a coordinator; they need a strategic professional who can sit at the intersection of multiple vendors and internal development teams to create a single source of truth. In this role, you will be the "navigator" for a high-priority program, ensuring that while individual teams move fast, the enterprise doesn't lose sight of the horizon. The Challenge The current environment involves multiple vendors and several distinct Project Manager-led development streams, each with its own project plan. The difficulty lies in consolidating these into one unified Master Plan. They need to move away from siloed reporting and toward total transparency, ensuring that dependencies are clear and that no team is accidentally working at cross-purposes. Key Responsibilities Master Schedule Ownership: Create and consolidate multiple vendor and PM project plans into a single, cohesive Master Plan that tracks the critical path across the entire program. Dependency & Risk Analysis: Beyond just "running MS Project," you will proactively identify "hard" and "soft" dependencies between vendors and internal teams. The "Why" Behind the Delay: When milestones slip, you won't just report the date change. You will perform root-cause analysis to explain why it happened and the downstream impact on the rest of the program. Stakeholder Navigation: Manage diverse stakeholders, from technical leads to executive sponsors, providing them with the visibility they need to make informed decisions. Neutral Accountability: In a multi-vendor environment, delays often lead to "blame scenarios." Your role is to provide objective, data-driven evidence to de-escalate finger-pointing and focus on resolution. What We’re Looking For A Seasoned Pro: You have successfully built and managed Master Schedules for large-scale, multi-stream programs in the past. You’ve seen how plans fail and know how to prevent it. Advanced Tooling Knowledge: You are an expert in MS Project (or similar enterprise scheduling tools), but you understand that the tool is only as good as the logic and communication behind it. Financial Services Experience: Familiarity with the pace, governance, and regulatory requirements of the financial sector is highly preferred. Multi-Vendor Coordination: Proven experience managing schedules where external partners are delivering key components of the project. Core Competencies Analytical Thinking: Ability to see the "big picture" while maintaining meticulous detail. Conflict Resolution: Ability to navigate the "blame game" with facts and diplomatic communication. Clarity: Translating complex technical timelines into executive-level insights.
