JOB DESCRIPTION
An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse Consultant within the Continence (Urology) Unit. The Clinical Nurse Consultant is the most senior and expert clinical nurse within their area of practice in the Hospital and Health Service. The SCHHS Urology Service provides expert planned surgical and emergent response urological care. The SCUH is the major referral hospital for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service for emergency and elective urological cases and provides expertise in care to patients across the health service.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
* Nominated as Medicine Store and S8 Safe Manager as per the Substance Management Plan for SCHHS Regulated Places, as required.
* Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to perform catheterisation (IDC / SPC) and troubleshooting and the ability to educate patients to perform clean intermittent self catheterisation (CISC)
* Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to assist Urology / Gynaecology consultant with urodynamics testing and urine flow studies.
Remuneration value up to $164 212 p.a., comprising salary between $132 562 - $143 924 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NG7).
