What this opportunity involves:
We're seeking a Retail Operations Manager to join our team in Brisbane You will proactively supervise the day-to-day activities to ensure that the retail centre is operating to the optimum, with maintenance, capital works and deliveries being performed with minimal disruptions to the tenants, customers and stakeholders.
A snapshot of the role:
* Manage key service contracts including cleaning, security, waste, HVAC, fire protection, lift/travelator maintenance, and car park operations
* Oversee cleaning and maintenance operations through daily inspections, contractor supervision, and implementation of preventative maintenance schedules
* Budget management including building and managing annual operational budgets, cost control, and contributing to business planning processes
* Contractor management and compliance ensuring insurance requirements, WorkSafe procedures, legislative compliance, and conducting periodic contract re-tendering
* 24/7 operational responsibility including after-hours call-outs, incident response, customer service, and maintaining public safety and security standards
* Risk and safety management implementing risk management programs, staff/contractor inductions, accident investigation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
* Capital works and sustainability overseeing client capital works programs and sustainability initiatives to meet agreed KPIs
* Customer service and stakeholder management addressing complaints, liaising with tenants, supporting marketing activities, and maintaining a safe retail environment
Before you apply it's worth knowing what we are looking for:
* Extensive experience in property / facilities / project management related fields.
* Demonstrated knowledge of building technical services, especially HVAC, fire protection and electrical services.
* Ability to deal with a variety of complex issues concurrently, within tight operational deadlines.
* Goal oriented and focused on meeting performance targets.
* Excellent client service and communication skills.
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
* Sound computer skills including Microsoft suite of products.
* Be punctual, well presented, helpful and reliable at all times.
