As a dedicated Child and Family Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to clients experiencing postnatal mental health concerns, anxiety, and depression.
* You will assist individuals adjusting to parenting and the transition to new family dynamics.
* You will address challenges related to healthy relationships, domestic violence, and child protection.
* You will provide support to clients dealing with birth-related trauma.
* You will also assist those struggling with grief and loss connected to pregnancy, birth, or early parenting.
The successful candidate must thrive in a collaborative team environment, yet possess the confidence to work independently. They will require strong organizational and time management skills, effective communication and respect for diversity in all interactions, as well as a commitment to equity, dignity, and inclusion in every aspect of their work.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualification in social work or a related field.
* Significant experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly in the area of child and family services.
* Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practice.
* Strong ability to form and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
