The role
Our Canberra WRES team offers a valuable opportunity for a Senior Associate to contribute to high profile workplace relations matters within a top tier practice. The role involves advising on general employment law, corporate transaction employment aspects, compliance, regulatory matters, discrimination, work health & safety, whistleblowing, modern slavery, industrial relations advice and dispute resolution, and litigation across courts and tribunals. Responsibilities include shaping the strategic direction of matters and providing exceptional client service.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 12 months experience in a Senior Associate position
* Proven experience in industrial relations, employment and/or workplace health & safety matters
* Capability to work autonomously and as a team member managing a diverse workload
* High initiative, dedication, organisation with a strong client and commercial focus
* Strong communication and practical problem‐solving skills
* Desire to engage in business development initiatives such as seminars and publishing articles
* Proactive attitude towards personal development and skill expansion to meet client needs
