First Nations Community Coordinator Role
We are seeking a First Nations Community Coordinator to collaborate with our team in a community-focused role. The successful applicant will establish strong, respectful relationships with First Nations families, prioritizing their voices and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct observations of children in their natural environments (in-person and/or remotely via video conference) to assess functioning and support needs.
* Support First Nations families in setting meaningful goals and tracking progress towards these objectives.
* Facilitate connections to mainstream services in the local area, enhancing access to supports and social participation for First Nations individuals.
About This Opportunity
This is an Identified Position available to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only, under Section 14D of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
Essential Requirements
* Confirmation of Aboriginality through a common seal and a reference from an Aboriginal organisation or community group.
* Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood or Allied Health is highly desirable.
* Understanding of child protection principles and practices.
* Valid Driver's Licence (P1 minimum) and willingness to travel across Northern NSW.
