About the Role Our client, Peter Hill & Son, is seeking an experienced Senior Broadacre Crop Farm Worker to join their farming operation in Brukerloo, Western Australia. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and supervising broadacre crop production, overseeing seasonal operations, maintaining and operating farm machinery, and leading farm staff to ensure maximum productivity and timely completion of tasks. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities - Manage and supervise the planting, cultivation and harvesting of broadacre crops (including cereals, pulses, oilseeds and export oaten hay). - Monitor crop growth and ensure seasonal farming tasks are completed within critical weather windows. - Supervise and undertake the operation, maintenance and repair of farming machinery and equipment. - Supervise and manage the inspection and maintenance of farm infrastructure, including fencing, water supply systems and grain storage facilities. - Organise, supervise and train farm workers in crop operations, machinery use and safe work practices. - Supervise work routines and day-to-day production activities. - Maintain accurate records of farm inputs, crop yields, staff operations and maintenance schedules. - Apply and/or supervise the safe use of pesticides, fertilisers and other agricultural chemicals in compliance with regulations. - Ensure all farm activities are undertaken in line with workplace health and safety requirements. ________________________________________ Requirements - AQF Certificate III in Agriculture (Crop Production) or equivalent. - Minimum 3 years' full-time experience in broadacre cropping. - Proven ability to operate, maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment. - Strong crop monitoring knowledge and adaptability to seasonal weather conditions. - Skills in chemical application and safe handling of agricultural inputs. - Demonstrated leadership and supervision experience. - Good time management and record-keeping abilities. ________________________________________ Employment Terms - Hours: Full-time, minimum 38 hours per week. - Salary: AUD $80,000 - 100,000 per annum. - Benefits: On-farm accommodation provided. ________________________________________ How to Apply Please send your CV and a cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role
