The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards. They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness, reliability, and performance of our fleet of aircraft to ensure they take to the skies safely.
The Opportunity
We now have an exciting opportunity to join the Maintenance Operations Team in the role of Manager Maintenance Forecasting and Performance. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Operations, the primary function of this role is to assess the short, mid and long term maintenance requirements and capacity settings so that Maintenance Operations can make informed decisions about the allocation of maintenance work. The role is also required to measure the performance of the Engineering business and drive continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Operations, key responsibilities of this role include:
- Consolidation of maintenance requirements across heavy, intermediate and line maintenance, including all scheduled and unscheduled requirements to optimise efficiency.
- Working closely with the Operations Teams to ensure the forecasted flying schedule can be delivered.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to jointly develop initiatives to reduce maintenance demand and optimise fleet performance.
- Working with internal and external suppliers to assess performance and inform continuous improvement opportunities and negotiation of agreements.
- Identify and execute on strategic opportunities to change the mix of maintenance footprint and maintenance suppliers to improve engineering and airline business outcomes.
- Developing financial budget estimates for maintenance execution associated with forecast demand and suppliers.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the Engineering business to internal stakeholders and customer airlines.
To be considered for this role, you will bring:
- Experience in airline operations and/or aircraft engineering
- Experience managing interface with Part 145 suppliers for maintenance execution
- In depth knowledge and competency in reviewing and understanding aircraft maintenance programs (e.g. AMP)
- Stakeholder and supplier performance management skills
