Opsafe Group is a Western Australian-based group of companies delivering specialised services across the mining, emergency response, resources, industrial and construction sectors. As the group continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager for an Immediate Start to oversee and lead the finance function across multiple operating entities.
This is a newly created key leadership role suited to someone who is hands‐on, commercially minded and experienced working within fast-paced operational environments involving multiple businesses and stakeholders.
About the role
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, reporting, compliance and commercial analysis across the Opsafe Group of Companies. Working closely with directors and operational management, you will provide accurate financial information, improve systems and processes, and support strategic business decision‐making across the group.
Key responsibilities
Managing day‐to‐day finance operations across multiple entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight and reconciliations
Preparing consolidated monthly management reports, budgets, forecasts and cash flow reporting
Monitoring operational, project and equipment costs across the group
Supporting pricing, tender analysis and commercial decision‐making
Managing BAS, tax compliance, superannuation and statutory reporting obligations across all entities
Liaising with external accountants, auditors, banks, insurers and professional advisers
Improving financial systems, controls and reporting processes across the group
Supporting directors and management with strategic planning, growth initiatives and business performance analysis
Ensuring compliance with relevant financial, payroll and corporate obligations
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Senior Accountant or similar leadership role
Strong accounting, reporting and cash flow management skills
Experience managing multi‐entity financial operations, payroll, BAS, budgeting and management reporting
A practical, hands‐on approach with strong attention to detail
The ability to work closely with operational teams, directors and management
Strong communication skills and commercial judgement
Proficiency with XERO accounting software and Microsoft Excel
CPA, CA or equivalent qualifications will be highly regarded
Experience within mining services, construction, labour hire, or other project‐based industries would be advantageous.
