What's the role?
Do you have a (long) travel bucket list? Are you the go-to person for the latest bar and restaurant openings? Are you ready to take your career in an exciting new direction with an iconic travel brand?
Medium Rare, Australia's leading content marketing agency, is looking for a Partnerships Editor to ideate and create high-quality editorial partnership content for the Qantas Group and its high-value tourism partners.
This is an exciting part-time (4 days per week) parental leave contract through to March 2027, working alongside Qantas marketing and state, national and international tourism partners to craft Qantas magazine features, Travel Insider digital content, social assets, EDM newsletters, videos and more.
You'll steer the ideas and be the hands-on lead, taking the brief or proactively identifying an opportunity, then managing the project from concept through to final approval—delivering content that engages audiences and drives flight bookings and visitation.
Who are you?
* You're a written and visual storyteller who can take a brief or marketing objective and translate it into a strategic, bespoke editorial concept that delivers bookings for Qantas and results for its tourism partners.
* You think like a journalist and, at the same time, a marketer – ensuring rich editorial content aligns with commercial objectives and performance, as well as Qantas editorial guidelines.
* You have an interest and strong understanding of cross-channel campaigns, incorporating print, digital content, social, video, EDM and more. You're an innovator and you're always looking for new ways to reach audiences.
* With 5+ years experience in senior editorial roles, you're comfortable writing, commissioning and editing copy to the highest standard and delivering detailed pitch lists that clients will love.
* You're highly organised and can manage multiple stakeholders and freelance contributors, while also working closely with in-house editors and creative directors. You're comfortable managing production of multiple concurrent campaigns within budget and to deadline, while always maintaining an eye for detail and the highest of quality.
* You're experienced in working closely with clients, feel comfortable presenting and can take the lead in presentation writing, working closely with design and video teams on the creation of mock-ups and social videos.
* Relevant industry contacts would be highly regarded.
