The Opportunity
Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Sludge Treatment Plant Operator to join our team at the Moomba Sludge Treatment Plant at Strezlecki Track, Moomba SA 5710. As a Sludge Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for sampling, daily operation and maintenance tasks.
Contract Type: Fixed‐term contract ending 19th February 2027
Work Schedule
* FIFO: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
* Day Shift: 10.5 hours per day + overtime
* Accommodation on site
* Flights to/from Adelaide or Brisbane provided

What you'll be responsible for
* Operate sludge treatment plant safely and efficiently in compliance with OHS requirements
* Manage daily process, maintenance and operational issues
* Complete routine work orders, preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs
* Conduct sample collection and laboratory analysis
* Troubleshoot processes, solve problems and identify improvements
* Perform routine maintenance and manage resources, tools and equipment
* Champion a safety‐first and continuous improvement culture
What you'll need to be successful
* Valid C Class Car Licence
* Experience in plant operations preferred (or currently studying a related field with site experience)
* Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment is preferred
* Ability to work independently and unsupervised
* Safety mindset
