Join the Benchmark in Mining Engineering

At Go Engineering, we are setting the benchmark in mining engineering. Based in Western Australia, we are a consultancy and contracting company trusted by the resources sector for our practical expertise, forward‐thinking solutions, and a team of engineers who consistently set the industry standard. We live our values every day by investing in our people - supporting their professional growth and building deep technical capability so they can deliver the highest quality outcomes for our clients.

Our Contracting Division delivers critical site support across production engineering, mine planning, mine startups, statutory coverage, technical advisory, and operational improvement - precisely when and where it's needed most.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mining Engineer to join our Contracting Division in a full-time role at Go Engineering. In this position, you will be deployed to client sites to provide senior-level engineering support for underground operations, based on project requirements.

You'll play a key role in supporting and leading production engineering functions, improving operational performance, mentoring site engineers, and providing trusted technical advice to both site leadership and Go Engineering management. This is a hands‐on, site‐facing role that requires strong technical judgement, leadership capability, and the ability to operate autonomously in dynamic operational environments.

As part of our team, you'll benefit from the stability of full‐time employment while enjoying the variety, responsibility, and impact of working across multiple operations in the resources sector.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Mining Engineer with Go Engineering, you will:

Provide senior‐level, site‐based mining engineering support tailored to the client's operational and strategic needs.

Lead and oversee short‐ and medium‐term production planning and execution, ensuring alignment with mine plans, budgets, and safety requirements.

Support operational decision‐making through technical analysis, problem‐solving, and practical engineering solutions.

Review and optimise mine designs, schedules, and work instructions to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and safety outcomes.

Mentor and support junior and mid‐level engineers on site, setting engineering standards and best practices.

Assist with statutory compliance, technical reporting, and interaction with mine management and stakeholders as required.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning, production, and engineering systems.

Our Values

At Go Engineering, our values are the foundation of everything we do:

Quality First – We strive to exceed industry standards in every task, with a commitment to delivering only the highest quality outcomes.

Professional Growth – We embrace learning and innovation, always seeking ways to improve our skills, services, and processes.

Integrity – Our actions and decisions are guided by honesty, transparency, and respect towards our clients, colleagues, and partners.

Accountability – We take full responsibility for our work, ensuring reliability and trustworthiness at every stage of a project.

Equality – We ensure equal opportunities and fair treatment for all, fostering a workplace where every individual can thrive.

Your Qualifications & Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 6–8 years' experience in mining engineering roles within underground operations.

Strong production engineering background, with demonstrated capability in site‐based operational roles.

Proficiency in mine planning and scheduling software (Deswik, EPS, or similar).

Sound understanding of mining methods, operational constraints, and safety systems.

Demonstrated leadership capability and experience in mentoring other engineers.

Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Manual (C‐Class) driver's licence and full working rights in Australia.

High level of self‐management and the ability to work independently in fast‐paced site environments.

A practical, solutions‐focused mindset with the ability to add immediate value to client operations.

What We Offer

Permanent, full-time engineering roles with Go Engineering, contracted to leading underground operations across the resources sector. You'll enjoy the stability of full-time employment while working on-site with clients, delivering high-impact planning support.

Above‐market pay – We offer true contract‐level rates as part of our permanent, salaried packages. This includes monthly salary payments, superannuation, site loading, and an annual performance bonus. We believe that attracting and retaining the best engineers means rewarding them accordingly.

Out‐of‐pocket reimbursements – Reasonable out‐of‐pocket expenses incurred in connection with employment and site deployment are reimbursed.

Career progression without limitation – Contracting with Go Engineering does not mean your career stalls or becomes pigeon‐holed. We have a proven track record of investing in our people through continuous training, mentoring, and deliberate role placement that supports long‐term career development. By matching the right engineers to the right client environments, our team has progressed across disciplines and seniority levels—moving from drill and blast into mine planning roles, from senior mining engineer positions into senior mining consultant roles, and from senior engineering positions into alternate underground management roles. Every placement is designed to deliver strong client outcomes while actively supporting individual career goals.
