We are seeking a strategic Human Resource Leader to oversee our early education programs and lead a team of professionals in fostering future generations.
This senior leadership role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for modeling organizational values, driving culture, and participating in community building.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership:
o Develop and implement strategic goals
o Maintain management and Board awareness of Employment and Fair Work laws
o Provide meaningful data for budget management
o Collaborate with managers to ensure salary benchmarks are met
* Culture:
o Support services in onboarding and induction of new staff
o Develop and maintain a faith-based culture
o Foster flexible work practices throughout the organization
o Lead Wellness & Mental Health initiatives
* Mediation:
o Manage dispute and grievance processes
o Resolve conflict issues and negotiate successful outcomes
* HR Policies and Procedures:
o Highlight changes in HR policies, systems, and processes
o Implement policy and procedure enhancements for our faith-informed culture
* Talent Acquisition:
o Assist Centre Managers with recruitment of staff
o Manage casual staff
* HR Administration:
o Manage employee contracts, position descriptions, and salary arrangements
o Monitor roster efficiency and wage benchmark achievement
o Organize and run the Induction Program
* Professional Development:
o Develop Professional Development Programs for senior managers
o Facilitate shared learning, cross collaboration, and knowledge transfer
* Risk Management:
o Serve on the Risk Committee
o Oversee excellent WHS management
Required Skills and Qualifications:
We seek an individual with:
- Strong leadership experience in managing teams to achieve successful outcomes
- Experience in managing staff appraisal systems and developing Enterprise Agreements
- Background in payroll management and ability to serve as a backup for Payroll Manager
- Familiarity with WHS, safety, and compliance in early learning
- Sound written communication skills for report preparation and correspondence
- Experience in managing rosters effectively
- A sound understanding of Profit & Loss Statements and financial management
