Job Description
The Role requires an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional food and outstanding customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting exceptional meals and catering for events, all while maintaining the highest culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and food service.
* Deliver exceptional customer experiences in line with contract expectations.
* Participate in the implementation and management of our Food Safety Program.
* Clean, sanitise and maintain the equipment and premises.
* Support stock management initiatives, including stock rotation and restocking consumables.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Australian recognised Commercial Cookery qualification (Cert III or higher). This is a required skill set to excel in this role.
* Current Australian Drivers Licence. This will enable you to perform your duties effectively.
* Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
* Previous experience in a similar commercial hospitality role.
* Ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team.
Benefits
* Part-time rates: $27.44 per hour +$6.43 allowance. You will also receive penalty rates for shifts after 6 pm, weekends, and public holidays.
* Additional allowances for laundry, tools and first aiders (if/when certified).
* Uniform/PPE supplied.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work at other Defence locations for camps, including Hampstead Barracks and Cultana, Port Augusta.
