Marine Carpenter Position
We are seeking a skilled Marine Carpenter to perform a range of tasks associated with preventive maintenance and repairs on infrastructure such as jetties, wharfs, boat ramps, and maritime buildings along the coast.
This role involves applying trade skills to install, replace, and repair facilities to ensure their integrity. As a Marine Carpenter, you will work outdoors and appreciate the fresh air and sea breeze.
Primarily based in the metro area, this position requires travel to remote and rural areas of WA to complete work as required. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, safety-focused, and ready for their next challenge.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday from 07:00am-03:30pm with 1x RDO per month.
We offer a competitive pay rate with opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for completing maintenance and repair work on marine structures
* Carry out general maintenance repairs and labouring as required
* Minor building asset repairs (locks, doors etc)
* Ensure inspection records are completed and maintained for required tasks
Requirements:
* A physically fit individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* A Carpentry Trade Certificate
* A WA Drivers Licence – LR
* A Forklift Ticket
* A Construction Induction / White Card
* A Chain Saw Ticket (desirable but not essential)
* Confident working on and around water (rivers, oceans, beaches etc)
* Experience in a similar role is highly regarded
