About Your Role
As the Nurse Unit Manager – Lagoon Ward, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and operational management across both MAPU and AMU.
In This Role, You Will
* Lead and coordinate the clinical, operational and professional functions of Lagoon Ward to achieve best practice standards.
* Provide advanced clinical expertise in acute and subacute medical nursing, supporting safe, timely care and patient flow.
* Support coordinated interprofessional care within MAPU to enable early specialist assessment, diagnostic screening and facilitated discharge plans.
* Promote a positive practice environment, building team cohesion and championing person-centred care.
About You
You are a confident and collaborative nurse leader with strong experience in acute medical nursing, patient flow management and leading multidisciplinary teams.
You Will Bring
* Advanced clinical knowledge across acute and subacute medicine, including areas such as cardiology, respiratory, endocrinology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, neurology, geriatrics and rehabilitation.
* Experience in leading MAPU/AMU or similar fast‑paced, medically complex inpatient environments.
* Strong capability in human, financial and material resource management, including rostering and cost‑centre governance.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change, build positive culture and motivate staff to provide evidence‑informed care.
