About The Role
We're looking for a Joinery Draftsperson to join our high‑performing manufacturing team. You'll be the critical link between design and production, turning concepts into buildable, precise shop drawings that bring projects to life.
This role works closely with our Estimation, Production, and Project Management teams to ensure that every detail is right. On time, on budget, and built to Unita's quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing
* Review architectural and interior design drawings to interpret design intent and scope
* Produce detailed shop drawings for approval and production using Pytha (or similar software)
* Prepare accurate cutting lists, CNC programs and documentation for manufacturing
* Liaise with Project Managers, Leading Hands, Estimators, and Installers to clarify details and resolve design or technical queries
* Check joinery designs against site measurements, material selections, and hardware specifications
* Ensure all drawings meet company standards, tolerances, and safety requirements
* Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
* Participate in handovers and technical reviews to ensure smooth transition from design to production
What You'll Bring
* Trade qualification in Cabinetmaking, Joinery, or Shopfitting
* 3+ years' experience in set‑out or technical drafting within the joinery or fit‑out industry
* Proficiency in Pytha, or similar CAD‑based software (training provided)
* Strong attention to detail and understanding of manufacturing methods and materials
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams
* A proactive mindset with a passion for precision and innovation
