Mechanical Fitter for large government organisation | 3 Month Temp Assignment | Geelong

Hays in Geelong are currently partnered with a large federal government organisation located in Geelong.
We are seeking to appoint a Mechanical Fitter to join the organisation for an initial three-month contract with a potential extension.
**Your new role**
Working as part of a specialised team, the role of Mechanical Fitter will conduct mechanical maintenance and repair activities to achieve a responsive, reliable and cost-effective service.
The role will also manage individual tasks in terms of client liaison, material procurement and labour management.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- A qualification in Mechanical Fitting
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience working on the repair and maintenance of large pressure vessels, heat exchangers, HVAC systems and commercial building engineer systems
- Committed to OHS&E; and safe working practices
- Welding experience is desirable
- Additional tickets highly desirable
- Hold a Current Driving Licence
- Supporting References
- Due to the nature of our client, for this role you **MUST** be an Australian Citizen or reside on a property with Farm Animals
