An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to work within government healthcare industry.
**Your new company**
This dynamic and busy healthcare state government department are seeking a skilled Finance Assistant to join their busy team. This client requires you to work full time hours on an initial temporary basis of 6 months, with an opportunity for extension.
**Your new role**
As a Finance Assistant your duties will include but not limited to:
- Assists the Manager, Financial Operations and the Business and Finance Officers in the management of all financial requirements
- Assists with budget preparation and with the preparation of monthly and quarterly budget forecasts and the ongoing monitoring of expenditure against budget.
- Complete month end reporting
- Assist with journal adjustments
- Assist with cross centre changes
- Assists Business and Finance Officers with Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
- Reviews, tracks, and processes employee contract paperwork for nonmedical staff
**What you'll need to succeed**
Previous experience in the above responsibilities is essential, as is:
- Excel spreadsheet skills: Vlookups, pivot tables
- Oracle system experience is preferred
