About The Role
Our client is delivering an essential water treatment facility servicing the Springvale Mine and Mount Piper Power Station—a project that plays a crucial role in ensuring both environmental compliance and the continued operation of infrastructure that provides 15% of NSW’s power supply. The Springvale Water Treatment Plant is currently undergoing expansion and upgrade works to support increased capacity and system resilience.
This Stage Of The Project Focuses On
o Expansion of the existing treatment capacity to accommodate increased mine water flow.
o Structural improvement works on the water pipeline and plant infrastructure.
o Coordination of upgrade works across civil, mechanical, and electrical interfaces.
o Supporting the implementation of additional brine treatment systems to further reduce environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities
o Oversee day-to-day site engineering activities relating to the expansion and upgrade works.
o Support the Project Manager with contractor coordination, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
o Ensure all construction and installation works are delivered to scope, schedule, and compliance standards.
o Assist in reviewing engineering designs and documentation for constructability and quality.
o Monitor project milestones and report on progress, risks, and site performance.
o Maintain strong communication between internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
o Minimum 3+ years experience on water/waste-water treatment plant projects or heavy infrastructure sites.
o Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, or Civil)
o Strong understanding of construction and commissioning processes, ideally in brownfield environments.
o Excellent contractor and stakeholder management skills.
o A hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to site safety and quality.
o Excellent report writing, budgeting, and project cost estimation skills
Salary & Work Rights
o Australian citizenship or Permant Resident is mandatory.
o $50/hr - $60/hr + Super
