The State Farm Crime Coordination Unit (FCCU) is attached to Eastern Region Headquarters, aligned to the Operations Support Division. The FCCU focus on: Theft of livestock, machinery, fuel and firearms, Illegal hunting/shooting and trespass, protest and activism. As the VPS 3 you will represent and support the State Farm Crime Coordination Unit to achieve the strategic direction, objectives and goals linked as articulated in the Farm Crime Coordination Unit Framework 2025 – 2028. Reporting direct to the Farm Crime Inspector the position will be based from Eastern Region Headquarters. Travel may be required to support the unit to meet objectives and goals. With State level responsibilities the Farm Crime Unit works with internal and government agencies on legislative reform that aims to improve and support safer farming operations. Your duties will include: * Undertake administrative functions that support the effective and efficient running on the Farm Crime Coordination Unit (FCCU). * Review and manage daily information reports, emails and general inquiries into the Farm Crime office * Maintain routine and regular contact with partners and stakeholders on matters related to Farm Crime * Author and present competent and credible reports regarding farm crime trends across Victoria. * Prepare and submit timely statistical and operational reports, including monthly returns. * Engage and support the Farm Crime Liaison Officers across the state. * Contribute to Farm Crime Coordination Unit initiatives, deliverables and projects * Assist in the development of initiatives and projects that support the FCCU * Coordinate meetings, forums and community connect activities * Travel as required to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, partners and industry professionals As the successful applicant, you will have: * An analytical process driven capability * Be motivated towards understanding rural communities * An ability to organise and maintain good governance of incoming and outgoing administration * A desire to engage with people, community and partners alike * An interest in Victorian agriculture and horticultural activities * An adaptable personality with an inquisitive disposition to events that occur within the pillars of farm crime Requirements and relevant information: * One (1) x Full time, VPSG-3, fixed term position available, 20039229 (expiring January 30, 2027). * Position is located at Eastern Region Headquarters, 420 Burwood Hwy, Wantirna South.
