Keeping Care Moving – Supporting Patients and Teams When It Matters Most.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse – After Hours Operational Support (Patient Flow Unit), to join our dedicated and high-performing team at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. In this pivotal role, you will work alongside the After-Hours Manager, supporting and leading patient flow and operational coordination across the hospital, while delivering advanced, patient‐centred care.
As The Registered Nurse, You Will
* Support hospital-wide patient flow and bed management after hours.
* Assist with coordination of admissions, discharges and inter‐hospital transfers.
* Utilise the Patient Flow Portal to support bed allocation and operational planning.
* Identify and coordinate potential discharges and patient transfers for the following day.
* Work collaboratively with NUMs, medical teams and multidisciplinary staff to ensure safe and efficient care delivery.
* Provide patient‐centred nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
* Recognise and respond to clinical deterioration and support safe transitions of care.
* Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
