About The Team
The Insurance Services Branch manages The City's Insurance portfolio consisting of General Insurance and Workers' Compensation. The General Insurance unit handles the City's Industrial Special Risks, Motor Vehicle, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Councillors' & Officers', Employment Practices Liability, and Contract Work's claims.
About Your New Role
As a Claims Officer, you will provide effective claims management in relation to litigated and claims in the classes of Professional & Public Liability, Councillors' & Officers', Motor Vehicle, Contract Works, and Industrial Specials Risks and to provide specialist support to the Coordinator General Insurance.
We're Looking For People Who Have
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience in managing a variety of insurance claims. You are driven, confident and can provide expert advice to your team and stakeholders. You'll also need:
* Demonstrated customer service excellence, including the ability to contribute as an effective and proactive member team member.
* High level of integrity, and the careful management of confidential information.
* Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis on consultation, negotiation, conflict resolution and assertiveness.
* Demonstrated experience in workload prioritisation and effective time management.
* Proven ability to exercise initiative and judgement when required.
* Ability to effectively engage with key stakeholders to support the claim determination & management process.
