We are looking for Consultant - Addiction Medicine - Addiction Psychiatrists and
Physicians with expertise in addictive disorders.

The Addiction Services at Fiona Stanley Hospital is the first integrated addiction and mental health service in a public hospital in Western Australia. The service entails outpatient clinics open 7 days a week over extended hours and manages AOD and behavioural addiction including gaming and gambling. It is multidisciplinary and it is governed by addiction psychiatry and addiction medicine specialists.

About the Role

As a member of the FSH Addiction Services, you will provide comprehensive and evidence-based specialist medical interventions (assessment, treatment and discharge planning advice) for patients suffering from addictions.

In this role, you will also provide:

* clinical expertise and support in the management of inpatients detoxing from addictions.
* clinical leadership to the nurses in their delivery of clinical services to the general hospital and the Emergency Department
* inpatients and outpatient supervision and consultation.

FSH Addiction Services include the following but not limited to:

* Consultation Liaison Services
* Outpatients and Inpatients Clinics
* Behavioural Services

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
