**About Monash Haematology**
Monash Haematology is a clinical and academic-focused department whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of patients with blood disease by providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice, education and research.It provides haematology care to a population of approximately 1.3 million, making it one of the largest services in Australia. Key leadership areas in clinical care and research include: a) Lymphoma and CLL b) Acute Leukaemia and Myelodysplastic Syndromes c) Venous thromboembolic disease d) Haemoglobinopathy e) Obstetric Haematology and f) Transfusion medicine.
It is actively engaged with a number of research organisations including the School of Clinical Sciences, Monash University; the Centre for Cancer Research (CCR) at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research; the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG), the Children's Oncology Group (COG). In conjunction with Monash University basic and translational science research groups are embedded within the state-of-the-art Monash Health Translational Precinct facility. Consistent with its strong academic ties to Monash University, the unit holds teaching and research as key metrics. There is a strong focus of evidence-based practise with clinical research integrated into all aspects of patient care. The unit is also involved in some multicentre trials.

**What you need**:
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- FRACP or equivalent
- FRCPA or equivalent
- Postgraduate qualification (PhD or equivalent)
- Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
- Fellowship of the RACS or equivalent
- Working with Children's Certificate
