Summary Of the Role
We are seeking a skilled Control Engineer (Electrical) to design, develop, and maintain software solutions for automation and control systems. Hands‑on expertise in PLC, HMI programming, Robotics, SCADA systems & industrial communication protocols. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from concept to commissioning.

Required Skills
* Technical Skills
o Proficiency in PLC programming tools (e.g., TIA Portal, TwinCAT, Studio 5000)
o Proficiency in HMI programming tools (e.g., WINCC TIA Portal, TwinCAT, Factory Talk View)
o Familiar in Robot Programming (e.g., ABB, Fanuc, Fuji or similar)
o Knowledge of Fieldbus like Ethernet TCP/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Ethercat, Serial Communication
o Experience in Safety Devices programming
o Experience in Servo, VFD Programming
o Knowledge of IoT, IoLink and Industry 4.0 concepts is a plus
o Experience in programming language in Ladder, ST, STL

Key Result Areas
* Design, develop, PLC/HMI Robotic/SCADA programs for industrial automation systems.
* IO testing, collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate control software with hardware, robotics.
* Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation to meet performance standards.
* Oversee the integration of hardware and software, ensuring seamless system functionality.
* Factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT).
* Active participation while commissioning software systems at customer sites and provide technical support during installation.
* Provide ongoing support for deployed systems, including troubleshooting and implementing updates.
* Mentor engineers, technicians and provide technical guidance to the team.
* Develop technical documentation, including user manuals, maintenance guidelines, and training materials.
Work Experience
2‑5 years of experience in control software development, preferably worked in Material Handling Conveyor Systems, Robotic Integration Systems, Robotics Palletizing Line, Similar automation system.
Salary
For 2‑5 years of experience, appropriate salary range will be from 90k AUD to 120k AUD + Superannuation.
