Alexandra Kidd Interior Design studio is based in Potts Point, Sydney. Specialising in high-end residential interiors that blend timeless elegance with contemporary Australian living, delivered with meticulous details and an emphasis on craftsmanship, sustainability, and each client's unique story.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced proactive and highly organised Studio & Procurement Manager to join our team on a maternity cover contract (approx. 13 months). This integral role supports the day-to-day operations of our busy design studio, ensuring internal processes run smoothly and projects progress efficiently.

You will act as the first point of contact for new enquiries, provide administrative support to the leadership team, and coordinate with clients, suppliers, and contractors. As part of your role, you'll manage studio calendars, coordinate supplier presentations, ensure the studio is well presented and ready to welcome visitors. You will also oversee procurement for residential projects and support the design team by managing ordering and delivery coordination.

You'll thrive in a collaborative, design-focused environment and enjoy creating structure, clarity, and support across all aspects of our studio. While this is a maternity leave contact, there is potential for the role to evolve into something more permanent depending on your skills, interests, and the studio's growth.

Key Responsibilities

Studio Management

* Act as the first point of contact for new client enquiries and general studio communications
* Provide administrative support to Director & Studio Director, including preparing proposals, contracts, and invoices
* Keep our studio tidy, feeling welcoming and elevated - candles, flowers, errands and more
* Manage and maintain studio and team calendars, scheduling meetings, and presentations for key project milestones
* Manage supplier relationships, coordinate supplier presentations, library updates and events for the team
* Liaise with clients, designers, suppliers, and contractors to support day-to-day project needs
* Prepare awards submissions, proofreading social media posts, and other marketing material

Procurement Management

* Support the design team with procurement tasks including requesting supplier quotes and invoices, furniture budgets and lead times
* Place and track orders, liaising with suppliers to confirm lead times, processing invoices and schedule deliveries
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and warranty claims
* Coordinate and supervise on-site installations as required

About You

You are an organised, self-motivated professional with a strong eye for detail and a natural ability to keep things running smoothly. With a calm, can-do attitude, you're confident juggling multiple priorities and enjoy being the go-to person who supports the wider team to stay on track.

You have a minimum of 10 years experience in studio management, operations, or procurement - ideally within the design or creative industry and are comfortable communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, from clients to suppliers. You are collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused, with a genuine interest in supporting a creative studio environment.
