Description
The Head of Finance is in search of a capable Company Accountant who will handle day-to-day financial accounting responsibilities while providing guidance and mentorship to the team.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing month-end closing for the entire group of entities
2. Reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations
3. Managing intercompany transactions, cross-charges, and conducting analysis
4. Handling payroll preparation (fortnightly payments)
5. Managing BAS and GST statement preparation
6. Handling accounts receivable functions, including collection, credit, rebate, and reporting.
7. Providing support for accounts payable functions as required
8. Assisting in the preparation and reporting of consolidated results and financial statements
9. Coordinating year-end deliverables with external auditors
Profile
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Company Accountant who possesses the following qualifications and skills:
10. Qualified CA/CPA
11. Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry
12. Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Financial Accountant (or similar) position
13. Previous experience in professional services (Audit/Business Services)
14. Excellent problem-solving skills
15. Advanced Excel skills (lookup/pivot)
