Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented professional with expertise in cost management and value delivery across the project lifecycle.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate financial planning and optimization throughout the design and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage detailed financial estimates and plans for throughout the design and construction phases
* Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements using tools such as CostX or similar
* Assist in the preparation and review of bills of quantities (BoQs) and tender documentation for MEP systems
* Conduct post-contract cost control, including reviewing variations, progress claims, and final accounts
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve commercial issues
* Provide value engineering input and life cycle costing analysis
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and financial parameters
Requirements:
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
* 5 - 8 + years of experience in quantity surveying
* Proficient in MEP measurement principles, tendering procedures, and Australian standards
* Strong knowledge of contract administration, particularly AS forms of contract
* Skilled in CostX, Excel, and other quantity surveying software
* Exceptional attention to detail and commercial acumen
* MRICS, AIQS or working towards professional accreditation (highly regarded)
