Job Title: Piping and Mechanical Lead
The position of Piping and Mechanical Lead plays a pivotal role in the success of our projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing operations within the Piping and Mechanical function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure scope of associated Commissioning and startup work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project safety standards, quality standards, and design/specifications.
* Perform general functions inherent in all supervisory home office and field positions.
Major Responsibilities:
* Comply with Bechtel's and Client ES&H and Quality initiatives, aiming for Zero Accidents and Zero Significant Quality Incidents.
* Resolve Piping and Mechanical System issues, locating and diagnosing trouble in mechanical equipment, components, and systems, developing technical solutions, preparing change documentation.
* Provide technical guidance, interpreting new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data, as well as designs, drawings, and O & M manuals.
* Review engineering and vendor documents for Commissioning and startup requirements, notify project personnel of problem areas, and provide help developing recommended solutions.
* Coordinate assigned Commissioning and startup activities between project engineering, construction, specialty staff groups, clients, and vendors as applicable.
Education and Experience Requirements:
A recognized degree in a Mechanical engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college and/or extensive progressive work experience in the specialty.
In-depth experience related to commissioning and startup of industrial, process or utility facilities or other relevant experience such as construction, engineering, field engineering or operations in industrial, process and utility facilities including progressively increasing levels of responsibility in supervisory and technical roles.
In-depth gas plant experience in commissioning preferred (i.e. Commissioning and startup of Aero-Derivative Gas Turbines, Gas Turbine Generator, Air compressors, Nitrogen Generation package, Regen Compressor, Turbo Expander).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiently.
* Ability to use BSAP's and Aconex proficiently.
* Working knowledge of Teamworks, Set route and Completion module.
* Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, and design criteria pertinent to gas plants.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
