Over the years the Outsourcing Workforce Division has provided meaningful employment opportunities to hundreds of people with disabilities. Their supported employment program allows clients to learn new skills, earn a wage, make friends, and help reach their career goals. The skills and training that people learn assists clients to make the transition to open employment or continue their growth in supported employment.
We are seeking a Manager or Team Leader who is ready to take the next step in their career into a key leadership role, as Business Manager in this NFP's Workforce division. A person with vision and a passion for working in the disability sector who thrives on leading and guiding a team. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the Workforce division, leading a team of 12, with 2 direct reports, developing and implementing strategies to grow the business, streamline systems and business processes, manage the day-to-day activities of the division and assisting the GM with budgets and forecasting. You will also be the driving force behind job satisfaction for 70 workforce employees.
The Workforce Division currently has 2 business streams of employment, mail & packing and mowing & gardening. As manager of this division, you have an exciting opportunity to be a free thinker, to be wild and creative, to create new opportunities for the division workforce, ultimately offering them more choice and more life experiences.
**Duties will include**:
- Drive sustainable growth that enables the Workforce Division to grow and continue its positive impact for workforce employees, clients, and the community
- Provide day to day operational management and leadership for division
- Ensure delivery of the service is consistent with the NDIS guidelines and legislation
- Develop strategic plans in consultation with the GM, Community Services to achieve organizational and financial objectives
- Identify opportunities for expansion through collaboration and integration across the organization
- Oversee and manage all aspects of operations including quotes, tendering, contract negotiation, budget management and reporting
**What you need**:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in a related field or extensive experience in business/operational leadership
- Ideally you will have 2 years' experience working in disability, aged care or social sector (or business owner in one of these fields)
- Financial management skills and sound business acumen
- People person, who enjoys networking and customer focused
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- Strategic thinker, with a innovative and creative ideas
- Management style that is solutions focused
