We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and individuals with disabilities.About the RoleAs an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised support to older Australians, helping them live independently at home while positively impacting their community.We offer casual opportunities with shifts between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, no evening or sleepover shifts. Shift durations start from 2 hours. The role requires willingness to travel around Canberra, supporting multiple clients in one day.Key ResponsibilitiesDomestic assistance such as meal preparation and light cleaningPersonal care including grooming and showeringAssisting clients to access medical appointments and social activitiesSupporting with daily routines and tasksBuilding positive relationships with clientsSkills & ExperienceA passion for making a positive impact in the ageing communityAustralian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insuranceStrong communication skills to build and maintain relationshipsCurrent First Aid and CPR certificates (must be obtained prior to employment)Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.Ability to work independently with support from a dedicated leadership teamUse of simple technology for timesheets and travel loggingOpportunities for career development and new challengesClear frameworks and policies for guidance and supportCasual hourly rate from $39.55 + Super + $0.99 per km traveledPotential to receive up to $15,900 annually tax-free through salary packagingPaid induction daysHow to ApplyCombine your resume and cover letter into one document, click ‘Apply,’ and follow the prompts.
