MC & MJ Investments Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Full‑time Cook to join our team in Belmont VIC 3216.
Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Inspect and assess food items to maintain quality standards.
* Monitor and adjust temperatures of ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment.
* Prepare, cook, and present a wide variety of dishes.
* Season dishes appropriately throughout the cooking process.
* Portion and plate meals with appropriate garnishes, sauces, and accompaniments.
* Store food safely in temperature‑controlled environments.
* Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary needs.
* Assist with menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements.
* Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff and apprentices when required.
Skills & Qualifications
* AQF associate degree, Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma certification in a relevant Hospitality qualification.
* Prior experience as a Cook.
* Strong knowledge of cooking methods and operating kitchen tools and equipment.
* Ability to work full time, flexible to work on a rotating roster.
