Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Analyst to support the upcoming acquisitions for a 4-6 month temporary assignment with a large complex business. Your role will involve hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, financial analysis, and end-to-end transaction support.
About the Role
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will have responsibility for gathering and analyzing data, conducting thorough financial modeling, and assisting with various aspects of M&A deals. This will include:
1. Conducting comprehensive due diligence on target companies, analyzing financial data, legal documents, and other relevant information.
2. Assisting in all phases of the M&A process, from initial deal evaluation to post-transaction integration.
3. Utilizing advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and power queries, to develop detailed financial projections and three-way financial statements.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and opportunities associated with M&A transactions.
5. Preparing reports, presentations, and other materials to support decision-making by senior management and stakeholders.
6. Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to M&A activities.
7. Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing insights as needed.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A professional qualification (CFA, CA, CPA, or MBA).
2. Previous experience in M&A, due diligence, financial analysis, and transaction support, preferably with SMEs or backed by private equity firms.
3. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills and knowledge of power queries.
4. Manufacturing or product-based industry experience is preferred but not essential.
5. A self-motivated and autonomous approach, with a proactive attitude towards gathering and analyzing data.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
