BHP WAIO 2027 Apprentice Program | Port Hedland Residential
About the Role
Whether you are finishing school or considering a career change, our 2027 Apprenticeship Program offers a strong foundation to build a hands‐on career in Port Hedland. Designed for residential applicants, this program combines structured training, dedicated mentorship, and clear pathways for long‐term growth within our WAIO Port and Rail Operations.
Based locally in Port Hedland, you will earn while you learn, working across day and night shifts on either an 8:6 or 2:1 roster. You will gain practical, on‐the‐job experience alongside formal training that leads to a nationally recognised trade qualification.
No mining experience is required. What matters most is your attitude. If you are motivated, reliable, and willing to learn, we will provide the training, support, and guidance you need to succeed.
This is a challenging but rewarding pathway. Over four years, you will develop valuable skills, build confidence, and establish a long‐term career with BHP, with ongoing opportunities to grow and progress.
