If so, keep reading.We are looking to expand our Strategy team and with that, we’re on the hunt for an experienced Strategy Lead so we can provide even more insights and recommendations to the leadership team on the future of our grid and our position within the energy transition in Victoria. This position works on impactful topics, vital to the direction of AusNet, whilst also giving you flexibility to make it work around your lifestyle.With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH),this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Strategy & Stakeholder team, within our Transmission line of business.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Deliver high quality insights, analysis and recommendations to inform the direction of the Transmission Line of Business, AusNet’s strategy, and support strategic & financial planning for the businessUnderstand the risks and opportunities within the Transmission Line of Business to help brainstorm the strategic projects we want to launchDrive the development of a long-term strategic agenda for the Transmission network and the pathway to implementationSupport the business with strategic deep dives, simplifying complex topics, problem solving and prioritisationSupport execution of plans developed through the strategy process, and implement best practices to enable the successful delivery of strategic initiativesProvide key inputs for leadership reports and decision-making forums, including papers for the Board and Executive Leadership TeamSupport wider objectives of the Strategy & Regulation team including regulatory & landholder engagement, policy advocacy, customer strategy, or business improvementAlthough primary accountability is with the Transmission business, you will play a core role as part of the wider strategy team at AusNet and will be expected to contribute to our strategic thinking as a portfolio of network companies, sometimes working on topics in Distribution, Corporate as well as GasYou don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Demonstrated strategy experience gained within a tier 1 or tier 2 consulting firmRelevant work experience in the energy sector (ideally networks)Undertaken quantitative and financial business analysis, extracting insights, particularly in areas of ambiguityExcel and PowerPoint skills, particularly in analyses and presentationsStrong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate at an executive levelAnalytical, data-driven, critical thinker; strong interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to equally influence and communicate at an executive and Board levelCommercial acumen and an ability to understand and apply business decision tools (such as business case development, cost benefit analysis and risk analysis)Mature professional possessing judgement, a disciplined approach, strong professional standards and, above all, a high level of personal credibility and integrityA real place to belong.We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.Engage and connect through our social club, family day, wide range of events or by joining one of our Employee Network Groups.We believe in more than just competitive pay.
