Volunteer Retail Assistant
We are looking for compassionate people who share our mission and values. This volunteer role is not paid.
Responsibilities:
* Greet customers with a warm, friendly attitude to create a positive shopping experience.
* Assist with inquiries, providing clear and helpful information to customers.
* Support the Donor Care Program by receiving donated goods, handling them properly, and communicating with donors.
* Process donated goods: assess condition, functionality, and suitability; price items according to production guidelines.
* Stock and display: place priced items on the sales floor, maintain neat and organized presentation, and assist with visual merchandising.
* Maintain cleanliness of items, sales floor and staff areas.
* Follow waste management guidelines and ensure waste is handled appropriately.
* Ensure safety for customers, visitors, and staff, adhering to secure work practices.
* Be mindful of health and safety for self and others.
