$90,000 per annum plus super Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pm 1 x Day work from home option post training period Port Botany Location January 2026 start - or sooner if possible We are currently seeking a highly experience Financial Accountant to manage and over see the monthly finances for the New Zealand accounts of a large Transport Company in Port Botany. The ideal candidate will be a self starter and demonstrate an ability to support all aspects of reporting, month end, reconciliations, cash flow, balance sheets and budgeting for the NZ accounts of the business. The role with consist of the following duties Month end journals as required and the review and analysis of monthly results of the business Balance sheet reconciliation management Provide assistance to the Financial Controller in managing the day to day financial performance of the business Weekly labour reporting Analyse and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers; Account for balance sheet items as part of the month end process; Update accounts receivable and issue invoices; Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations; Record intercompany transactions; Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports; Other duties as described by the Manager; ABS Surveys Prepare Monthly BAS and Quarterly BAS Skills and Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Business Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent written and oral communication skills High attention to detail Logical and analytical thinker Self-starter that can network, accomplish tasks and deliver results.
