What you'll be doing
The Senior Podiatrist provides direct patient care, consultative services to endocrinology, and advises the health service on matters relating to podiatry. The Senior Podiatrist provides ongoing case management for patients. The senior podiatrist requires high level clinical skills, knowledge and experience working with chronic care populations and within multidisciplinary teams. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
* Full registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience, with a minimum as a Level 2 Podiatrist.
* Can you share an example of a time when you had to balance competing clinical priorities under significant pressure? How did you manage your workload while still ensuring safe and timely patient care?
* Tell us about a patient interaction where you went beyond clinical care to show compassion or kindness. What impact did it have on the patient, their family, or the team?
* As a senior clinician, how would you contribute to improving our High Risk Foot Service while also supporting and mentoring junior staff? Can you give an example of how you've done this in the past, or what approach you would take here?
