Job Description
The focus of this role is to provide technical support for mine production.
Function
- Delivery of short-term schedules in alignment with direction provided by the Planning Department.
- Establishment of company procedures, standards and templates for the technical services department.
- Support operation through the delivery of safe and efficient Production plans (Drilling, charging, remote bogging).
- Assist with the implementation of infrastructure projects and required instructions.
- Assist the Mining Manager as required, support on a variety of tasks including technical work and statutory appointments as required.
- Ventilation Surveys, monitoring, and compliance.
- Regular Underground inspections.
- Underground Manager ticket coverage when required.
- Organising short-term/daily activities with onsite contractors and technical staff.
- Assisting with validating sections of the onsite contractor claim.
- Ensure compliance with WHS (Mining) 2022.
- Development and implementation of Safe Systems of Work.
- Managing and supporting raisebore and civil works contractors.
- Mentoring and developing Production Engineering Team.

Desired Skills and Experience
Key Skills/Qualifications/Experience:
- A tertiary degree in Mining Engineering
- Solid experience in mining engineering
- Deswik competency
- Production Experience
- Managing and developing teams
- Managing contractors
- Well-developed communication and literacy skills
- Ability to work autonomously with well-developed time management skills
- Business acumen gained within an operational mining environment
- Full knowledge of Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
- Outstanding analytical skills
- WA based with experience of local area
- Highly skilled written and verbal communication, literacy, numeracy and presentation skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines
